Work Environment

This position is based in our vibrant outpatient office, where you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients in a dynamic setting. As a full-time member of our staff, you will typically work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in a friendly atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' strength, mobility, and function, developing appropriate treatment plans aligned with best practices in physical therapy.
• Provide hands-on therapy using advanced manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to each patient's specific diagnosis.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to design and implement comprehensive, individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and strategies to enhance overall wellness and performance.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in our electronic management system, ensuring compliance with best practices in documentation and coding.
• Mentor and guide students and less experienced team members through hands-on training, promoting a culture of learning and professional development within the clinic.
• Participate in departmental initiatives, committees, and special projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and improving patient care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse adult clientele, focusing on conditions related to musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports-related injuries. You will have the opportunity to impact patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, enhancing their rehabilitation journey through tailored interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid California Physical Therapist License.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to patients and colleagues.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a patient-oriented mindset to facilitate recovery and wellness.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating familiarity with the specific challenges and treatment modalities associated with this environment.

• Prior involvement in program development or departmental quality improvement initiatives would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
