Talent Acquisition Specialist

Overview Consider joining the Pennex family as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator based out of our Leetonia, Ohio location. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing the hourly full‑cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates to meet organizational staffing needs. This role acts as a key partner to hiring managers, ensuring roles are clearly defined, posted, and filled with high‑quality talent in a timely manner. Responsibilities Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and staffing needs. Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates. Create and update job descriptions aligned with business needs. Update staffing plans with current openings and ensure consistent production staffing. Collaborate with staffing partners to optimize workforce mix between temporary resources and full‑time hires. Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and referrals. Post job openings internally and externally to attract talent. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future roles. Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates. Conduct phone, virtual, or in‑person interviews to assess fit. Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide candidate recommendations. Manage candidate communications throughout the hiring process. Extend job offers. Facilitate the onboarding process to include pre‑employment screening. Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. Act as a liaison between candidates and hiring teams. Promote company culture and employer brand in the market. Represent the company at job fairs and recruiting events. Assist with employee retention, growth, and development initiatives. Support strategic human resources initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of two years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition. Manufacturing recruiting experience preferred. Desire to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing environment. Highly motivated, self‑driven, and eager to learn new skills. Attention to detail and follow‑through on tasks and commitments. Flexibility to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects, and prioritize effectively. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred; experience with an ATS (iCIMS preferred). Knowledge of recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.). Strong interviewing, sourcing, and candidate assessment skills. Negotiation and decision‑making abilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expertise. Project management and change management skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Up‑to‑date knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Ability to leverage AI tools to optimize workflows and productivity. Eligible to work in the United States; must pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen. Regular attendance required.
