Registered Nurse (RN)The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering optimal patient care by applying nursing knowledge and skills throughout the patient care process. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, along with their families or caregivers.Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to identify patient needs and health responses.Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients and their families.Coordinate care among interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient management.Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver safe and effective patient care.Maintain a collaborative environment focused on patient-centered care and clinical excellence.This position supports a busy telemetry unit that provides care for a diverse patient population, including those with conditions such as congestive heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and post-procedure recovery from cardiovascular interventions.Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Nevada prior to starting.Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required.Experience with telemetry competency, including rhythm strip recognition and measurement.Previous travel nursing experience, specifically one 13-week assignment, is required.Travelers may be required to float to various units as needed, based on competency levels. Working major holidays and additional shifts may be necessary during the scheduling period. This position may require scheduling adjustments based on unit needs and patient volume.This role is situated in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, serving a wide geographical area. The unit operates as a Level II trauma center with a focus on delivering advanced care and innovative medical services to the community.
