Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley brings an inventive approach to creative events, seasonal pop-up experiences, lifestyle facilities and culinary craftsmanship that culminate in the ultimate urban getaway.About the PositionThe Bartender (Part Time) provides hotel guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service with a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar.Responsibilities:Job duties include but are not limited to:Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons StandardsBuilding rapport with the guest with above and beyond serviceConfirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel's point-of-sales systemCheck completed orders with the guest's original orderService and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinksSkills/Qualifications:Ideal candidate will have:2-3 years serving experience in upscale establishment, wine wine/beer/spirit knowledgeMust be able to obtain any required food handing or alcohol serving certifications required by local or state agencies.Hotel/resort experience preferredMust be able to be on feet for entire shift and communicate with guests appropriately and effectivelyAbove and beyond attitude is required as well as a flexible schedule with ability to work weekends/holidays and eveningsAll applicants must have the proper legal documents to work in the United States.What to Expect:Hourly rate $20.00 plus service chargeBe part of a cohesive team with opportunities to build a successful career with global potentialVacation, and sick pay401k participation with a company matching programComplimentary stays at Four Seasons worldwide (subject to availability)Free employee meals prepared by the culinary teamComplimentary dry cleaning of employee uniformsFree employee parkingFour Seasons is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
