You will be focused on the back-end design and development of our cloud notebook product, helping turn marketing requirements into an easy to use and elegant application designed for the scientific community.If you are looking to join an international team of talented engineers, designers, and product managers, and to contribute to delivering amazing, high impact, customer-focused features, this is a great opportunity.You Will -Collaborate with fellow team members on priorities, specifications, and feature implementationCraft well-documented, clean, and tested codeCreate secure, performant interfaces and servicesBuild and maintain new, high-impact functionality into Signals NotebookWork with cloud services and technologiesBasic Qualifications:5-7 years of Java programming skills3-5 years of experience with Reactive Programming (Vert.x)1-2 years hands on experience with AI tools for development (creating AI Agents and utilizing AI tools for development)3-5 years building Web Services and Restful APIsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree is preferredExperience in using latest AI tools for development is highly desiredExposure to CI/CD (Jenkins GitHub)Experience working with JDBC in a transactional application (using any RDBMS but preferably PostgreSQL)An awareness of performance implications of different queries and inserts/updatesThorough understanding of and experience with structured software development methodologies including designDevelopment, and testing in an Agile environmentMust have strong teamwork orientation and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teamsExcellent work ethic and strong sense of ownership of end resultEntrepreneurial minded, creative problem solver, and innovative thinkerLife science, chemistry or biology experience a plusThe working hours for this position will be EST. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
