Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves caring for post-operative adult patients in a fast-paced environment. The PACU handles a high volume and acuity of patients, and teamwork, positive attitudes, and clear communication are essential standards on the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Recover post-operative adult patients by monitoring their progress and vital signs.
• Administer medications and provide post-anesthesia care as required.
• Collaborate with medical teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding recovery processes and expectations.
• Work independently while contributing to team efforts in a dynamic nursing environment.

Qualifications

• RN License: Must possess a valid New York State RN License.
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience is required; PACU experience is mandatory, and ICU experience is preferred.
• Certifications: Must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Shift Details

This position includes rotating shifts covering days, evenings, and nights, along with holiday and weekend work as needed.
