Model Risk AnalystImmediate need for a talented Model Risk Analyst with experience in the Banking and Financials Industry. Please review the job description below.Key Responsibilities:The Model Governance Sr. Analyst is part of the Enterprise Risk & Governance team responsible for identifying, assessing and reporting model risk.The Model Governance Sr. Analyst aids with the continuous development of sound model risk management practices and supports the evolution and execution of the Model Governance Program.This position is responsible for helping ensure that all aspects of the model's lifecycle complies with Model Governance policies and procedures including the periodic validation and monitoring of models.The role will perform independent model risk oversight activities, including model identification, determination, classification, inventory management, validation, review, issue remediation testing, reporting, and related activities.Contribute to the development of a sound Model Risk Management FrameworkAssist in the ongoing evolution of the Model Risk Management functionManage the evaluation of new models, coordinate the validation of changes to existing models and the retirement of decommissioned modelsAssess model riskAssist with control design/implementationEnhance and/or maintain guidance documentation to support the governance requirements of Model Risk ManagementSupport quarterly Model Impact Certification processSupport model lifecycle management and model validation for various stakeholders across business linesParticipate in special projects as neededModel Governance Program/ Model Risk Mitigation SupportAssist in the evolution and execution of the Model Governance ProgramProvide support in the execution of Model Risk Mitigation activitiesAssist in improving the Model Risk Management program, by implementing best practices, recommending process improvements, and evolving standards/guidelinesManage the database for model/tool inventory, validation findings and remediation plansWork across lines of businesses to assess model riskDemonstrate independence and strong compliance to policy and procedures in model review activitiesKey Requirements and Technology Experience:The candidate must have Model Risk Management/ Model Governance experienceAlthough technical modeling skills/ exposure are a plus, those who have strictly model development and validation backgrounds are not the ideal candidate for this role as the function is more Risk driven in natureFamiliarity with Enterprise Risk Management MethodologiesFinancial Services, banking or automotive industry experienceStrong oral and written communication skillsDetail-orientedAbility to prioritize, manage time well, and multitaskAbility to work with ambiguous or changing work situations, tasks, assignmentsA high degree of organization skills with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment2-3 years experience writing and/or reviewing comprehensive statistical model documentationOur client is a leading Banking and Financials Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
