Logistics Coordinator

Overview

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Logistics Coordinator at our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX.

Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC's and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more.

The Logistics Coordinator focuses on the day-to-day coordination of material flow, shipments, communications, and logistics reporting. The role supports the Supervisor by helping ensure production timelines are met while allowing the Supervisor to remain focused on shop-floor execution, production support, and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material movement to support production schedules and priorities.
• Track inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues.
• Monitor production timelines and help adjust logistics support as priorities change.
• Maintain shipment records, tracking information, and logistics documentation.
• Provide updates on shipment status, material availability, and operational concerns.
• Serve as a liaison between production and inventory.
• Escalate critical issues that may impact production or customer commitments.
• Support problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations.

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (subject to business needs)
• Occasional Saturdays as required
• During active projects, hours may shift to 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with some Saturdays

Qualifications

• Certification and experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong Communication Skills
• Experience in transportation, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory control processes, and the use of WMS or other inventory tracking systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reports, data analysis, tracking, and scheduling tools) and Microsoft Word.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a record of maintaining or improving inventory accuracy.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated initiative and teamwork; ability to support and guide team in inventory or warehouse procedures.
