Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg/Ortho

Position Overview

As an Acute Travel Registered Nurse in Med/Surg/Ortho, you will provide high-quality health care services, focusing on orthopedics, postoperative care, and medical/surgical needs. You will be responsible for delivering compassionate patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Position Information

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Ortho, Post Operative, Med/Surg
• Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend as needed
• Call Requirements: None
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH
• Experience Required: 1+ years
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to float as needed

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 23
• Patient Ratios: 4-6:1
• EHR: Meditech
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, pediatrics (ages 13 and older)

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing direct patient care in a variety of clinical settings
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Licensure: Current RN license to practice in Tennessee
• Skills: Strong teamwork, customer service, and assessment skills
• Personality Fit: Motivated, hardworking, kind, and compassionate

• Unacceptable Attire: T-shirts without hospital logo; no acrylic nails

Additional Information

Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays. Candidates must meet the state-specific checks and have the required certifications prior to the assignment start date.
