We're hiring experienced CNC Machinists for our Northwest Houston client! We are looking for skilled, dependable machinists with strong CNC setup, FANUC controls, and large-part machining experience who are ready to interview immediately!

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

Job Title: CNC Machinist – VTL / Large Parts
Location: Northwest Houston, TX 77064
Pay: $29.06–$35.01/hour (based on experience)
Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour for night shift
Hours:

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Night Shift: 4:00 PM–2:30 AM

Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Description of Duties: Set up and operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL), Vertical Turning Centers (VTC), and other CNC machining equipment to manufacture large industrial components, including parts measuring 50–60 inches in diameter . Independently select tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and machining strategies to meet production specifications.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and CNC programs to ensure accurate machining operations. Perform machine setups, enter work and tool offsets, prove out programs, and complete first-article inspections with minimal supervision. Monitor machining operations, identify dimensional or surface finish issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

Utilize FANUC controls, G&M codes, and CNC programming knowledge to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production. Perform precision measurements and inspections, document completed work orders, and communicate production updates between shifts. Maintain a safe and organized work environment while meeting established production goals.

Requirements: Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience required, with 5–7 years preferred . Candidates must have previous experience with FANUC controls , along with experience operating Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL), Vertical Turning Centers (VTC), or machines utilizing 4-jaw chucks .

Must have experience machining large industrial parts, approximately 50–60 inches in diameter , and be capable of independently performing machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and program adjustments. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, G&M codes, blueprint reading, and precision machining techniques is required.
