Under the general direction of the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, the Management Analyst for Marketing and Content Strategy is responsible for coordinating and executing data-informed marketing initiatives that drive student engagement, enrollment, and brand awareness. This role combines strategic content development, AI-driven marketing support, and administrative coordination. The incumbent will write and manage content for newsletters, websites, and campaigns; support enrollment marketing efforts including weekly newsletters and email communication; and oversee the department's work order/project intake system to ensure timely delivery and performance tracking across platforms. Coordinate with the Social & Multimedia team to extend campaign messaging across digital and social platforms. Examples of duties include:
100% of full time, 37.5 hours per week, 12 months per year, with anticipated start date of September 2026. Schedule may change to include some evening or weekend hours, as needed. This role combines strategic content development, AI-driven marketing support, and administrative coordination. The incumbent will write and manage content for newsletters, websites, and campaigns; support enrollment marketing efforts including weekly newsletters and email communication; and oversee the department's work order/project intake system to ensure timely delivery and performance tracking across platforms. Coordinate with the Social & Multimedia team to extend campaign messaging across digital and social platforms. Examples of duties include:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for intake of marketing work orders from internal departments; review, assign, and track projects from request to completion.
- Maintain a marketing request/project management system to ensure equitable workload distribution and deadline compliance.
- Oversee the development, scheduling, and distribution of college student and employee newsletters through Constant Contact, ensuring timely, engaging, and brand-consistent
- Generate weekly reports on active projects, completion rates, and team performance for leadership review.
- Provide administrative support to the Director, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing vendor communications, and assisting with contracts, bids, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Assist in the development of integrated enrollment marketing campaigns in collaboration with Outreach, Admissions, and Financial Aid.
- Use data analytics, CRM reports, and predictive insights to identify and target key student segments, including first-generation students, adult learners, and stop-outs.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and adjust messaging strategies to increase engagement, conversion, and equity in outcomes.
- Support digital advertising campaigns by writing optimized content and tracking performance indicators across platforms. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Liaise with instructional departments, Student Services, and leadership to collect content, success stories, and campus updates for use in campaigns and storytelling.
- Support the production of board reports, public communications, and executive talking points as needed.
- Work closely with the Social and Multimedia team to amplify written content through video, photography, and social campaigns.
- Assist with press and media coordination for events, student stories, and college-wide announcements.
- Stay current on trends in generative AI, student recruitment marketing, and higher education communications.
- Ensure all content meets accessibility standards and follows district, FERPA, and branding guidelines.
- Contribute to the development of style guides, voice and tone standards, and AI usage protocols for internal content creators.

Anticipated Hiring Range:
- $9,387.67-$10,262.58 monthly (WVMCEA Salary Schedule, Range 70, Steps A-C).

Any combination of experience and education that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
- Experience: Two years of responsible technical or professional administrative experience in a college or university environment.
- Education: Equivalent to possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, social science, computer science, or a related field
AND Understanding of, and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff. Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following desired qualification(s):
- Content Strategy, Creation, and AI Integration
- Evidence of strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for a variety of audiences and channels.
- Demonstrated successes using generative AI and content marketing tools for higher education or public sector communications.
- Demonstrated familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Slate, Salesforce), Google Analytics, or campaign dashboards and other digital tools used at a community college.
- Evidence of exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience implementing and leveraging budget, personnel, and technology resources to achieve organizational outcomes in an educational setting.
- Documented success providing administrative support to the director-level managers (or higher) and engaging with external contractors, partners, and/or community agencies.
- Knowledge and Abilities
- Principles of marketing, communications, brand management, and public relations.
- Methods of audience segmentation, enrollment marketing, and student engagement strategies.
- Cross-channel communication strategies across email, web, social media, print, and digital advertising platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website content optimization.
- Experience using email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or CRM-integrated communication tools.
- Knowledge of editorial calendar development and institutional messaging coordination.
- Marketing analytics, campaign reporting, CRM systems, and audience engagement strategies.
- Executive communications and institutional reputation management practices.
- Principles of accessibility and inclusive communication practices, including WCAG standards and FERPA compliance.
- Ability to analyze enrollment trends and translate data into actionable communication strategies.
- Ability to maintain brand consistency across multiple communication channels and campaigns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, students, and external partners.
Knowledge of:

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct administrative and operational analysis; recommend solutions based on findings.
- Design, develop, and coordinate implementation and evaluation of departmental administrative and operational systems and procedures.
- Create and maintain databases from a variety of internal and external sources; monitor development and input of data.
- Monitor and analyze changes to laws, regulations, and procedures relative to area of assignment; interpret, explain, and disseminate information on pertinent regulations to administrators, faculty and staff.
- May provide leadership and coordination of projects in area of assignment; liaison with other district and/or college departments and divisions, faculty and administrators to ensure updated information is available and presented on web site.
- Provide work direction and assessment to technical and administrative support staff and students.
- Audit, input and validate relevant data in various software programs; use content management system to help maintain website, maintain college events calendar, digital signage, social media, and external advertising, produce materials for class schedule and collateral material
- Coordinate a variety of information and resources for department administrators and faculty.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of federal, state, district, and college reports and surveys.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other district employees, and the public using principles of good customer service.
- Foster an environment that embraces diversity, integrity, trust, and respect.
- Be an integral team player, which involves flexibility, cooperation, and communication.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
