Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll Do:Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety CultureDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root causeUse SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actionsDemonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needsDetermine grades and sizes of bolts, pipes, tubing, cables, and wiresInterpret blueprints, drawings, and schematicsMeet expectations of work qualityMonitor and inspect equipment for defects. Properly remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power toolsPossess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding principles, rigging, overhead cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment operationPrepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsWork safely to prevent on the job injuries by following safety rules and regulations at all times including proper wearing of company PPELeads department start-up and shut-down activities in accordance with standard operating or routine proceduresLeads, coordinates, and documents assigned maintenance projects, including work involving processes, peers, and contractorsParticipate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety CultureTroubleshoot issues as they arise. Use SAP to execute work orders and preventive maintenance and use QMOS to follow up on delaysWorks safely at all times by following safety rules, regulations, and PPE requirementsWhat You'll Need:Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in heights for extended periods of time in extreme temperaturesAbility to utilize precision measurement instrumentsAbility to work rotating shifts which include weekends and holidaysExperience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferredMinimum 5 years of experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferredMinimum 5 years of field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment requiredAdvanced experience with pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and rigging/heavy-load calculationsAbility to read hydraulic schematics, troubleshoot hydraulic systems, and diagnose pressure-related issuesMinimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environmentsPositive attitude with strong communication skills and willingness to support team and shift coverage needsAbility to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, and working at heights in extreme temperaturesHigh School Diploma or GED requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
