Senior Revenue Accountant

Our client is a publicly traded advertising company. They seek a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office. Responsibilities Analyze client contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with applicable accounting standards Evaluate revenue arrangements to ensure accurate accounting for accrued revenue, deferred revenue, and related balances Monitor aging schedules for revenue-related balance sheet accounts and coordinate with business partners to resolve outstanding items Assess complex contract terms to determine the appropriate accounting treatment for revenue transactions Verify that recorded revenue is supported by executed agreements and underlying project documentation Participate in month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and revenue reporting Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to resolve revenue accounting questions and reporting issues Prepare account analyses, supporting schedules, and documentation for internal and external audit requests Identify opportunities to strengthen revenue recognition processes, internal controls, and reporting accuracy Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, accounting projects, and process improvement initiatives Requirements 3-6+ years of revenue accounting experience Advertising or similar industry Deferred revenue and unbilled receivables experience Strong Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Abacus Group, LLC
