Holiday Health Care is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to oversee all purchasing, inventory control, supply management, equipment tracking, and supply coordination activities for our skilled nursing facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that nursing, therapy, respiratory, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, and administrative departments have the supplies, equipment, and resources necessary to provide exceptional resident care. The Purchasing & Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing inventory levels, controlling costs, maintaining vendor relationships, coordinating equipment needs, and collaborating with department leaders to support operational efficiency throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, assisted living facility, or healthcare setting and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic working experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, assisted living facility, or healthcare setting is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, materials management, medical supply management, healthcare operations, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures and inventory control practices.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, department managers, staff, residents, and families.
• Must be proficient and comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience utilizing inventory management systems, databases, and purchasing software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience purchasing medical supplies, respiratory supplies, durable medical equipment, and resident care products.
• CNA/QMA with experience in medical supplies is encouraged to apply
• Experience with budgeting, vendor negotiations, cost-control initiatives, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing supply inventories in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulatory requirements related to supplies and equipment.
