About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2+ years required License: Active state license required, willing to consider candidates applying for state licensure Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required, ARRT required Must-Have: Willingness to float within scope of practice, must respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts Description: 2+ years of experience required. AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications are required. ARRT certification and active state license are required. Candidates willing to apply for their state licensure once offered will be considered. The schedule is Monday to Friday with one rotating weekday off each week. On-call requirement is 8-15 days per month, plus one weekend every three weeks. The call team consists of 2 RNs and 1 Radiology Technologist. Float required within the scope of practice. There are 2 Cath Labs and rotation in the EP Lab. 8-10 procedures are performed per day. 6-8 STEMI cases occur per month. Scrubs and lead aprons are provided. Responsibilities include table panning and scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases. Assist with devices and tools such as Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector. Device implants include Pacemakers and ICDs (single, dual, Bi-V) and peripheral diagnostics and interventions. Cross-training in electrophysiology is available and experience is preferred. Utilization of both radial and groin access is expected. Staffing ratios may vary based on staffing and census. The team rotates every three weeks and orientation is held bi-weekly. The candidate must live 75+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered. Assignment confirmation is required within 24 hours of offer acceptance. Only one position submission is allowed at a time. A copy of a current and valid driver's license must be attached with the application.
