Licensed Practical Nurse

DutiesHelpGreet and interview pediatric patients and their families on arrival in various clinics.Record chief complaint of patient and documents brief history of problem.Assign appointments using written triage guidelines: when urgency of care is uncertain, obtains further guidance from nurse/provider.Collect and appropriately label specimens and tests.Initiate, maintain and monitor IV fluids, regulates flow rate and monitors prescribed fluids.Assists during procedure/exam using infection control practices to clean rooms and equipment.Maintaining and updating patient medical records to document patient's progress.
