Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a non-aggregated ICU setting serving Medical, Surgical, Coronary Care, Neuro, and Trauma patient populations including adults and geriatrics
• Manage high-acuity interventions with a standard ICU patient ratio of 1:2; ratio may adjust to 1:3 when a patient is downgraded and awaiting bed placement
• Perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Operate specialized equipment including IABP, CRRT, EVD, and Arctic Sun/cooling blanket systems
• Float to IMC (ratio up to 1:4) or other appropriate critical-care areas based on facility needs, scope, and competency
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maryland RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience required
• Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU experience required
• Level II trauma experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH stroke scale certifications required
• ATCAR or equivalent trauma education required (candidates may complete a Maryland-approved trauma course to satisfy this requirement)
• Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG assessment required and must be submitted by the agency; a passing score is required before proceeding with the contract
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience with high-risk Neuro and Trauma interventions in a specialized ICU environment
