Post doctoral researcher: Leading aerosol measurements forJames Flynn’s lab The Flynn group is in search of a postdoctoral researcher to leadefforts in supporting the Atmospheric Science and ChemistrymEasurement NeTwork (ASCENT) site at the University of Houston. Thechosen candidate will lead the instrument operations includinghands on activities such as QA/QC checks and maintenance as well asdata processing, analysis, and leading publications. Candidatesshould have a PhD in atmospheric science, atmospheric chemistry,chemistry, physics, engineering, or related fields, be well versedin the operation of aerosol instrumentation, subsequent datahandling, and have a strong background in aerosol science.Experience with Aerosol Mass Spectrometers and/or Aerosol ChemicalSpeciation Monitors is strongly preferred. This position is for atleast 12 months with the likelihood of extensions but is grantfunded and is contingent on receiving external funding. MQ: Requires singular knowledge of a specialized advancedprofessional discipline or the highest level of general businessknowledge, normally acquired through attainment of a directlyjob-related terminal degree or equivalent formal training in arecognized field of specialization that is directly related to thetype of work being performed.
