Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Experience: Must have 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP , general ledger accounting , financial statement preparation , and advanced Excel required
Software: Experience with ERP systems required Newly created position of Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is ready to take on increased responsibility while partnering closely with senior leadership. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- Serve as a key resource and backup to the Controller
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries , account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist in preparing accurate financial statements
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Verify, enter, and process invoices
- Perform daily credit card reconciliations
- Communicate professionally with vendors regarding accounting matters
- Participate in cross-training to support the accounting team during peak workloads
- Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting , Finance , or a related field
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
