Senior Legal Counsel

Our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel / In-House Counsel to join its legal team in Grapevine, TX. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing strategic legal guidance across commercial operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong in-house experience supporting logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, or supply chain organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to business units and senior leadership on a wide range of commercial and operational matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements, customer contracts, vendor agreements, and other legal documents.
• Advise on litigation strategy, dispute resolution, and employment-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including transportation and trade regulations.
• Identify and mitigate legal and business risks while supporting company growth initiatives.
• Support corporate governance matters and internal compliance programs.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, HR, and executive leadership teams.
• Assist with regulatory matters involving domestic and international operations.

Qualification

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 8+ years of legal experience
• 5+ years of in-house counsel experience
• Strong experience with contract negotiation and commercial agreements
• Experience in litigation, compliance, risk management, and corporate governance
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership and influence business decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience within logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, or 3PL/4PL environment
• Air and sea freight experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of FMC regulations and transportation la
• Experience with import/export regulations and global trade compliance
• Familiarity with FCPA, anti-corruption laws, GDPR, and CCP
• Previous leadership or people management experience is a plus.
