Project Engineer

TD Construction is seeking a motivated and highly organized Project Engineer to join our team. This is a unique position that combines traditional construction Project Engineer responsibilities with office administration and project support.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment, managing multiple priorities, communicating with subcontractors, vendors, project managers, and field personnel, and helping keep both our projects and office operations organized.

This position is a good fit for someone with construction project coordination or administrative experience who wants to take on a broader role and grow within a construction company.

Project Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination.
• Prepare, track, distribute, and follow up on project submittals.
• Assist with RFIs and maintain RFI logs.
• Maintain project drawings, specifications, addenda, and other construction documents.
• Help ensure subcontractors and vendors are working from current project documents.
• Assist with change orders, proposals, pricing documentation, and change order tracking.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding project documentation, schedules, material information, and outstanding items.
• Assist with project startup and closeout documentation.
• Maintain project files and electronic records.
• Assist with meeting preparation, meeting minutes, and follow-up items as needed.
• Support Project Managers with miscellaneous project-related tasks throughout the construction process.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support for the construction and management team.
• Assist with correspondence, document preparation, filing, and record keeping.
• Help maintain project and company tracking logs.
• Coordinate and organize project documentation received from subcontractors, vendors, architects, and owners.
• Assist with scheduling meetings and other office coordination.
• Help maintain an organized and efficient office environment.
• Perform additional administrative and project support duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Construction industry experience is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, Construction Administrator, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with subcontractors, vendors, architects, owners, and field personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with construction management software is preferred but not required.
• Ability and willingness to learn construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project management processes.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
