Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a school-based contract position near Hurricane, WV. This engaging role is available from October 5 through May 27, 2021, providing the chance to make a real difference in elementary students’ communication skills within a supportive educational environment. This position provides a consistent schedule of 3-4 days per week within one school (not itinerant), serving a caseload of pre-school through 5th grade students while collaborating with a dedicated team. SLP-Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) may be considered, making this a valuable opportunity for both seasoned professionals and those launching their careers.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• Active (or eligible) state licensure/certification as an SLP
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid instructional model
• Organizational skills and commitment to regular, reliable attendance

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students to develop individualized speech/language therapy plans
• Deliver direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
• Maintain accurate records and document student progress
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings, provide input on student goals, and assist with compliance documentation
• Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of students in a hybrid learning model
