Senior HVAC Service Technician

Fagone Plumbing, Heating & HVAC is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with 8-10 years of hands-on HVAC service experience who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly, communicating clearly with customers, and delivering professional service in the home. This is a service-focused position centered on maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and system performance. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing service calls efficiently, and representing Fagone with professionalism on every job. *Responsibilities* * Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC systems * Perform maintenance visits as part of the Fagone Service Plan * Evaluate system performance and recommend practical repair or replacement options when appropriate * Service heating, cooling, heat pump, ductless, and related comfort systems * Communicate clearly with homeowners about findings, options, and next steps * Complete accurate service notes, documentation, and job updates * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area and vehicle * Follow company procedures, safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable codes * Work independently while supporting the broader service team * Participate in the on-call rotation as needed *Qualifications* * 8-10 years of HVAC service experience required * Journeyman-level experience or above preferred * Strong residential HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills * EPA Certification required * Experience servicing heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, boilers, AC systems, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits * Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently * Strong customer service and communication skills * Valid Massachusetts driver's license with a clean driving record * Professional appearance and a respectful, customer-first attitude * Ability to explain repair options clearly without high-pressure sales tactics * Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians is a plus *Why Join Fagone* Fagone Plumbing, Heating & HVAC is a locally owned company serving homeowners across the North Shore.
