Certifications/Requirements:
- General Certifications (BLS/BCLS)
- ARRT R,(T) License Valid State License
- BLS Certification
Job Description
The Radiation Therapist will deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments safely and accurately, adhering to physician orders and established treatment protocols. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient verification and treatment safety checks, including identity confirmation, imaging verification, and treatment timeouts.
- Acquiring and evaluating treatment imaging (KV, MV, CBCT) to ensure proper patient positioning and treatment delivery.
- Reviewing treatment plans and executing patient chart checks to spot discrepancies, maintain accuracy, and prevent treatment errors.
- Providing patient-centered care and education while collaborating with Radiation Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment and promote positive patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in radiation therapy.
- Minimum 1 year travel experience.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC/ARIA.
- Associate of Applied Science in Radiation Therapy.
Notes: Holiday coverage may be required. No on-call or holiday shifts are expected.
