Pay Rate: $23.59 per hour Summary:
- Assist the accounting department in various clerical tasks to support financial transactions, record-keeping, and data entry.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain electronic records.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor statements.
- Assist in preparing basic financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Handle filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some college coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting or clerical role.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Familiarity with basic financial concepts and terminology.
- Willingness to learn and grow in the accounting field.
