Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Unit

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Behavioral Health unit. The candidate must have an active Wisconsin RN License and current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Documents patient care according to established standards.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care based on individualized patient needs as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilizes critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, appropriately escalating concerns when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Nursing - education verification required.
• Current Wisconsin RN license or multi-state RN license.
• BLS certification required.
