Medical Assistant

Job Title: Medical Assistant Location: Cedar Hill, TX Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM Dress Code: Grey or Navy Blue Scrubs Top Responsibilities
- Perform duties within Medical Assistant scope, including:
- Venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- EKGs, specimen collection, and culture collection
- Administer non-IV medications
- Remove staples, change dressings, assist with wound care
- Operate and perform quality checks on diagnostic equipment (no interpretation)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments using autoclave
- Room patients, take vitals, and prepare them for exams
- Accurately document patient information in EMR in a timely manner
- Coordinate care based on physician instructions and clinic policies
- Maintain exam rooms (stocking, cleaning, organizing)
- Follow infection control protocols and safety standards
- Conduct basic intake screening (phone and in-person, non-clinical judgment)
- Follow Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO)
- Ensure patient confidentiality and provide courteous care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Experience in clinical Medical Assistant duties
- Ability to perform venipuncture and basic diagnostic procedures
- Strong documentation and computer skills
- Experience drawing blood
- Knowledge of requisitions and chain of custody processes
- Experience coordinating with external labs
- Strong communication skills
