Commercial Janitorial - Day Porter

The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility during a single shift. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks as well as special maintenance projects independently without any travel between sites. The Day Porter supports a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming environment through various duties including cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and customer assistance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and special cleaning tasks to maintain facility cleanliness
- Remove trash and maintain proper waste disposal
- Conduct floor maintenance and sanitation of restrooms
- Replenish supplies to ensure availability throughout the day
- Assist customers with inquiries or basic needs
- Monitor safety and report hazards promptly
- Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance
- Proficient in cleaning techniques and safety compliance
- Strong time management skills to handle tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills for customer assistance
- High attention to detail for quality maintenance work
