Project Manager – Water/Wastewater (Full‑time, Hunt Valley, MD) Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is a fully employee‑owned consulting firm providing multidisciplinary engineering services. Position Summary Responsible for delivering complex multi‑discipline engineering projects from inception to completion within the water/wastewater sector. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Manage project internal and external engineering resources, government agencies, and client staffing to deliver the proposed scope on time and within budget. Serve as the point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal/external design and construction teams. Build and develop client relationships and seek opportunities for repeat business and/or new opportunities. Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure project completion by defined milestones and quality guidelines. Oversee multiple multidisciplinary projects, ensuring adherence to protocols and practices. Provide direction and guidance to multidisciplinary design team members and facilitate technical coordination between disciplines. Resolve technical conflicts and mitigate risks within projects. Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Coordinate administrative aspects including contract reviews, bidding, scheduling, month‑end processing, project accounting, and reporting. Represent the organization at community and/or business meetings. Create project proposals, budgets, work breakdowns, rough order estimates, schedules, and integration plans. Develop monthly progress reports and review internal and sub‑consultant invoicing. Provide expertise and consulting to project managers in project management execution and lessons learned. Establish and coordinate improvements to project management processes and procedures. Required Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook). Experience using scheduling software (Project or P6) is a plus. Required Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited program. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (AIA). 10+ years of design and construction project management of multidisciplinary projects, including design oversight, statement of work development, and project reporting. Experience with water/wastewater facilities is a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Working Conditions Work is performed in a general office environment with occasional field visits. Conditions may include outdoor exposure to heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid environments; lifting up to 50 lbs.; regional travel within MD, VA, PA, NJ, and DE. Some duties may require standing and walking.
