Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

About the Role

Envases Ohio is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our Logistics team. This position plays an important role in keeping our manufacturing operations moving by coordinating daily inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting on time delivery of materials and finished products.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment . This person will work closely with the Logistics Manager, warehouse team, plant operations, quality, customer support, and freight carriers to ensure shipments are accurate and moving efficiently.

Requirements

What You'll Do

• Process daily inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods transactions, with a primary focus on our high volume food container lines.
• Coordinate daily carrier schedules and help ensure customer shipments are completed accurately and on time.
• Verify incoming and outgoing freight against purchase orders, bills of lading (BOLs), and shipping documentation.
• Complete receipts, stock transfers, cycle counts, and other inventory transactions within the ERP/WMS system.
• Maintain accurate, up to date inventory information and help prevent transaction backlogs.
• Check in freight drivers and coordinate dock door assignments.
• Prepare and distribute required shipping and receiving documentation.
• Communicate with freight carriers and third party logistics providers regarding daily shipments and deliveries.
• Inspect food grade packaging materials and finished shipments to ensure they meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.
• Work with plant operations, quality, customer support, and logistics teams to investigate and resolve inventory or shipping discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.

What We're Looking For

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or inventory control.
• Experience in a high speed manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
• Food packaging or manufacturing experience is a plus.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience using ERP or WMS systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar plant management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to inventory and transaction accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and high volumes of transactions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, management, freight carriers, and other outside partners.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
