Sr. Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial construction projects in the Reno, NV area. This role is ideal for a proven leader with deep experience in arena, large hospitality, or complex high-value developments . The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and manage large-scale commercial construction projects (arenas, resorts, hotels, mixed-use developments) from inception to completion
Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
Manage and mentor project teams including Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff
Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations
Drive cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting across multiple projects
Lead contract negotiations, change order management, and risk mitigation strategies
Coordinate with field leadership to ensure alignment between office and site operations
Provide strategic input during preconstruction , including estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews

Qualifications & Requirements

10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
Proven experience managing large-scale projects such as arenas, stadiums, resorts, or major hospitality developments
Strong background in ground-up construction and complex renovations
Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and large project teams
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Preferred Experience

Arena or stadium construction
Large hospitality (hotel/resort/casino) projects
Multi-phase or occupied-space construction
Experience working in Nevada or similar regulatory environments
