Ocean Import Specialist

Job Title
Duties and responsibilities:
- Daily maintenance and tracking and tracing of international shipments
- Professional communication with truckers, warehouses, steamship lines, and other forwarders on a daily basis.
- Maintain/update client information and SOP's
- Punctual daily follow up of all inquiries from customers, agents and MAO offices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer issues are resolved.
- Coordinate sea freight forwarding of international shipments from door to door.
- Maintain/update client information; change in contact, special instructions, and any other specific requirements.
- Daily interactions and reporting to local management.
- Ensuring accurate and timely client and vendors billing within company guidelines and timelines.
- Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability.

Education:
- High School or better.
Experience:
- 3 years: Freight Forwarding
