Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial evaluations to assess clients’ mental health issues, strengths, and challenges, leading to individualized treatment planning.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy, tailored to the diverse cultural backgrounds and unique needs of each client.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and nurses, to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans while coordinating integrated care.
• Facilitate crisis intervention sessions by conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans to support clients in acute distress.
• Advocate for clients’ rights and connect them with vital community resources to enhance their overall well-being.
• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues and promoting available resources within the community.
• Document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Contribute to staff meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and refine treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Child and Family Health Center serves a diverse population, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges. You will work closely with clients from different backgrounds, including those dealing with severe mental health disorders, traumatic life events, and adjustment issues. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential in this role.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a community mental health setting or similar environment.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, or motivational interviewing.
• Prior experience with crisis intervention techniques and engaging clients in safety planning.
• Participation in community outreach or mental health advocacy programs is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
