Registered Respiratory Therapist Part Time Peds

Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Care Supervisor, the Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients of all ages in accordance with accepted respiratory care practices and established departmental and hospital guidelines. The role involves participating in providing patient‑specific care standards, following service excellence standards, and ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction. Essential Job Responsibilities Prioritizes work appropriately and completes assignments in a timely fashion. Completes all required documentation with special attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrates competency in proper airway care including throat suctioning, oral and nasal airway care, cuff pressure monitoring, and extubation. Demonstrates competency in the performance of routine patient assessment and in the ability to correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction. Performs quality control procedures, as required. Employee’s conduct must reflect the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct ethics and compliance program. Gains competency in new procedures in a timely fashion as they are incorporated into the department’s practices. Performs other duties as assigned, including periodic assignment as a shift’s Lead Therapist. Employee reflects SDH Service Excellence standards in every interaction. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
