As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to demonstrate integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, staff, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain awareness of changing conditions, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
