Responsibilities You will perform customer liaison duties, prepare contract specifications and government estimates, and material identification and services procurement for the Facilities Maintenance Department. You will support the basic maintenance and repair requirements of the buildings and structures aboard MCAS Cherry Point and its outlying fields. The incumbent receive, review, and analyze assigned work requests for applicability and appropriateness in accordance with provisions and directives of Marine Corps Real Property Facilities Manual. You will provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel when service ticket response indicates additional clarification and evaluation is necessary to complete the maintenance requirement. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering methods and practices to support development, repair, modification, or installation of building systems or components; planning and estimating facility maintenance and repair projects; and inspecting facilities to determine necessary repairs. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
