Customer Service Clerk Company: Davis Ice Cream Georgia, LLC Location: LaGrange, Georgia Employment Type: Part-Time 28 hours per week Schedule: Monday–Friday Pay: $17.50 per hour, Paid Bi-Weekly Position Summary Ice Cream Warehouse Georgia is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Clerk to assist with daily office, accounting, and customer service functions. This position is responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, reconciling daily receipts from route personnel, posting accounts receivable payments, assisting customers with over-the-counter sales, and performing a variety of general office duties. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with numbers, handling payments and financial information, assisting customers, and managing multiple responsibilities throughout the workday. Accuracy, dependability, organization, and attention to detail are essential for this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Answer incoming telephone calls and assist customers, vendors, employees, and route personnel as needed. Reconcile daily receipts, payments, deposits, and other paperwork submitted by route personnel. Identify and report discrepancies involving route receipts or payments. Post customer payments to accounts receivable and scan checks to deposit in bank. Assist with maintaining accurate customer account records. Perform accounts receivable collection activities, including contacting customers regarding past-due invoices, documenting collection efforts, and following up until payment is received or the account is escalated. Process and assist with over-the-counter customer sales, up to 13 hours per week in peak season-4 hours off season . Receive and process and reconcile customer payments associated with over-the-counter sales. Assist customers with product, pricing, account, and order questions. Maintain organized accounting and office records. Perform data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and other administrative tasks. Assist with general office correspondence and paperwork. Communicate with route personnel and management regarding paperwork, payments, discrepancies, and customer accounts. Maintain confidentiality of company, customer, employee, and financial information. Perform various general office duties as required. Assist management and other office personnel with administrative projects and assignments. Perform other duties as assigned or needed to support the daily operation of the business. Qualifications Previous clerical, bookkeeping, or office experience preferred. Experience handling cash, checks, credit card transactions, or customer payments preferred. Strong basic math and reconciliation skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to learn company accounting, invoicing, and route-management systems. Professional telephone and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Work Environment This is a part-time, on-site office position at Ice Cream Warehouse Georgia in LaGrange, Georgia. The employee will have regular interaction with customers, route personnel, management, and other office staff. The position includes a combination of accounting support, customer service, over-the-counter sales, and general administrative responsibilities.
