Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

Physician opportunity in Emergency Medicine with SCP Health - Locums at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville in Michigan City, Indiana. Coverage period is from August 1, 2026, to ongoing. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Average daily volume is approximately 47 patients per day with consistent case mix. The department has 15 beds, and dependable specialty support is available. APC support and RNs are on staff for 10 hours a day.

Hospital privileges are required, and moderate sedation is part of the required procedures.

Board certification is required in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) or an ABMS-recognized specialty with five years of experience. Active IN medical license, IN state controlled substance, and DEA with IN address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4 are required. BLS/CPR certification is also needed. New EM residency graduates within 12 months or IM with five years continuous full-time in high-volume ED (>30k visits/year) are accepted. Completed CME Attestation Form, case logs for past two years, and current immunizations (Flu, TB, COVID) are also required.

Duties include providing 24-hour physician coverage in a 15-bed Emergency Department with approximately 17,000 annual visits, supervising and collaborating with APC support during 10-hour shifts, performing moderate sedation as required, managing patient throughput, and working collaboratively with specialty backup and support staff.
