Global Events Manager

This position will be located in our Columbus, OH headquarters. Position Summary The CAS Global Events Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing our presence at trade shows, conferences, and industry and customer events worldwide. This role leads a large-scale, complex global event strategy and budget, partnering closely with sales, marketing, regional, and cross-divisional stakeholders to drive CAS brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation for our portfolio of scientific intelligence solutions and capabilities. Blending the strengths of a data-driven strategist and a detail-oriented execution expert, the successful candidate will bring advanced planning, collaboration, and financial management skills, strong business acumen, and a spirit of innovation and creativity to this opportunity. Position Responsibilities: Develop and lead execution of CAS annual global event strategy for external in-person event activations targeting customers and prospects (e.g., tradeshows, workshops, sponsorships, industry engagements, etc.) Manage the annual global tradeshow and events calendar, prioritizing events based on audience fit, market strategy, and ROI potential Lead end-to-end planning for trade shows, conferences, sponsorships, and proprietary events across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, including pre- and post-event motions to maximize ROI of event investments. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, regional teams, and cross-divisional SMEs, to enable and optimize event experience, engagement, and impact Manage event budgets, contracts, expenses, and vendor negotiations to maximize value Coordinate travel, logistics, and on-site staffing for global events Oversee booth design, signage, giveaways, and collateral, in partnership with creative team and regional stakeholders Manage lead capture processes and ensure timely, accurate handoff to Sales Support planning for CAS hosted internal and external events aligned to Marketing and Sales objectives, including CAS Future Leaders, thought leadership summits, and global sales meetings. Serve as CAS representative for event-based project teams across the ACS, including co-branded events. Track and report on event performance (leads generated, pipeline influenced, cost-per-lead, attendee engagement) and provide recommendations for future investment Oversee procurement of branded event materials and logo wear, including management of CAS Marketplace. Develop and scale repeatable processes and enablement tools to ensure consistent execution aligned with enterprise brand strategy and business policies. Stay current on industry event trends, competitor presence, and emerging opportunities. Recommend innovative approaches that differentiate CAS. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of global tradeshow and event planning experience Strong attention to detail and demonstrated success leading a large-scale, complex events program that requires managing multiple events, tasks, stakeholder expectations, and deadlines simultaneously Strategic thinker with strong planning, program management, and process development capabilities Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience collaborating across diverse seniority levels, personalities, and cultures Proven analytical skills to drive data-informed, results-based outcomes Experience managing vendors, sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and owning budgets Proven ability to build strong relationships and hold stakeholders accountable to shared commitments Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support events (typically 4-6 trips annually) Previous experience in B2B, scientific, and or technical industries preferred Experience with Marketing technology, including digital lead capture, Salesforce, project management software, Hubspot, Claude/Co-pilot preferred CAS offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including a generous vacation plan, medical, dental, vision insurance plans, and employee savings and retirement plans.
