Sales Specialist - Private Markets

We are partnered with a leading global financial data, analytics and technology firm seeking to add an experienced Sales Specialist covering Private Markets to its growing team in New York.

This individual will be responsible for driving new business and expanding existing relationships across the private markets ecosystem. The role will work closely with institutional investors and private capital firms, providing data, analytics and technology solutions that support investment analysis, portfolio management, benchmarking and decision-making across private markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships with institutional investors and private capital clients across private equity, private credit and broader alternatives
• Identify and originate new business opportunities while expanding relationships within existing accounts
• Lead consultative sales conversations with investment, portfolio, research, operations and senior management teams
• Develop a strong understanding of client investment processes, challenges and data requirements
• Present and position data, analytics and technology solutions based on individual client needs
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation and close
• Partner with product, client coverage and technical teams throughout the sales process
• Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently work toward revenue and growth objectives
• Stay current on trends across private equity, private credit and the broader private markets landscape

Qualifications

• Experience in financial data, analytics, investment technology, private markets technology or a related financial services business
• Strong understanding of private equity, private credit and/or alternative investments
• Demonstrated xhyhwjd experience in consultative B2B or institutional sales
• Experience selling to investment professionals and other sophisticated financial-services clients
• Strong relationship management, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to navigate complex organizations and engage senior-level decision makers
• Proven ability to manage a pipeline and develop new business
