Workforce Development Coordinator

The Climate Resilience and Sustainability Department of the Long Beach Community College District is seeking highly-qualified individuals to join our team as a Workforce Development Coordinator. Our department is located within the Division of Workforce and Economic Development with the mission of building a climate ready workforce. The incumbent will coordinate, organize and oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned Workforce Development grant and training programs; implement and assist in evaluating program and training plans, budgets, procedures and supporting program promotional materials; perform case management of student/participants from start to completion.

We are looking for someone who has experience demonstrating organizational, administrative and communications skills, general knowledge about specific industries related to program areas and traditional and non-traditional student populations. Experience in an academic setting is highly desirable. Additionally, we are looking for someone who has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in public administration, social science or a closely related field and two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in executing workforce development grant and training programs, particularly at community colleges, at least one (1) of which involves responsibilities for program planning, coordination, and implementation; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
