Compensation and Incentives Weekly competitive pay is $26–$28 per hour Tool/Boot reimbursement program Referral program Employee benefits: Discounted premiums for Medical, Dental and Vision plans, Flexible Spending Accounts Generous paid time off / holiday schedule Employer matching 401(k) Job Summary Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on semi‑truck trailers and tractors, including tasks such as brake adjustments, tire replacements, electrical troubleshooting, basic structural repairs, and more, while working out of a service truck and adhering to strict safety regulations; general repairs on tractor and trailer units in accordance with DOT, federal and state regulations and company standards. Uses technical publications or automated systems in maintaining vehicles to prescribed manufacturers’ maintenance schedules and for researching parts. Properly annotates all maintenance and labor performed in maintenance management software. Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers. Perform annual/systematic 90‑day inspections of trailers as required. Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards. Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and shop as needed. Identify parts and supplies as needed. Adhere to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards, including proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste. Clean, organize, and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety. Use welding equipment as required. Qualifications Skills and abilities: At least 1 year of experience with general knowledge of equipment theory, principles and repair related to diesel engines, air, electric, mechanical and hydraulic systems. At least 1 year of experience with general knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, company policies and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent vocational school required. At least 1 year of related experience.
