Forklift Operator

Our client, a plumbing company, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Pay Range: $19 - $19.50 per hour

Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm, Friday 7:45 am - 3:15 pm

What's the Job?

• Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and move materials within the warehouse

• Read and interpret shipping orders to determine quantities and transportation needs

• Prepare shipments for UPS and Post Service, including labeling and packaging small items

• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation, including packing slips and bill of ladings

• Ensure safety procedures are followed and equipment is used properly

What's Needed?

• 2+ years of experience in forklift operation

• Valid forklift license and ability to operate a forklift safely

• Forklift Certification (required)

• Driver's License(required)

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety and operational instructions

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
