Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

Seeking a remote full-time Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, the successful candidate will lead complex technical projects, drive innovation in bioinformatics methods, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic solutions in genomics and genetics. Key responsibilities: Lead complex technical projects and evaluate identifiable factors to resolve issues Design and implement advanced bioinformatics solutions while collaborating with molecular biology teams Establish quality control metrics and drive improvements in data accuracy and turnaround time Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 10+ years, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of experience in bioinformatics, molecular biology, computational biology, or engineering Experience in leading technical projects and system architecture design Strong understanding of bioinformatics algorithms and regulatory compliance requirements Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, Nextflow, and GitHub Actions Track record of developing and optimizing complex analysis pipelines
