Senior Associate Attorney

A well-established and highly respected litigation firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Houston office. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney looking for substantial responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to independently manage a diverse civil litigation docket.

The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of civil litigation experience and be comfortable handling cases through all phases of litigation with a high degree of autonomy. The firm offers a strong reputation in the legal community, a collaborative culture, and sophisticated litigation work across a variety of matters.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate risk exposure
• Maintain direct communication with clients and opposing counsel
• Handle matters in both state and federal court

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience
• Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Experience managing multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Trial experience is a plus
