Associate AttorneyOur Houston office is seeking a reliable and energetic associate attorney licensed to practice in Texas. As an associate, you'll be part of a collaborative environment, working closely with partners, colleagues, staff, and clients, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of litigation – all without the pressure of billable hour requirements. Starting compensation $85,000 - $100,000 per year.Essential duties:Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, notices, and judgmentsConduct legal research and analyze issues, including chains of title and tax mattersPrepare for dockets and represent clients in court appearances in Harris and surrounding countiesCollaborate with staff on collection and litigation activitiesCommunicate with clients, taxpayers, and opposing counselParticipate in business development, including networking events and statewide conferencesProfessional skills:Effectively manage a large caseloadIdentify and analyze complex issuesProvide research that is thorough and responsive to issue at handWrite in an organized, clear, and concise mannerWork in a supervisory positionRequired experience:0-2 years of legal experience preferredAdmitted to the State Bar of TexasAbout Us: When Experience, Reputation and Performance Matter Established in Amarillo, Texas in 1970, Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, LLP is one of the oldest law firms providing collection services and related legal representation to government entities.
