As a Security Officer Access Control in Lynchburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor access points, verify credentials, manage badge activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. This role combines customer service, technology use, and visible presence to help to deter incidents while delivering a caring, reliable experience built on teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor records, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and/or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
• Communicate with employees, visitors, and site contacts regarding access procedures, deliveries, and security-related protocols, while reporting maintenance issues and/or hazards observed during assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
