Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license is required
• Experience teaching students with various disabilities and exceptionalities
• Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and compliance
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and parents
• Comfortable utilizing technology for virtual instruction, if applicable
• Passion for inclusive education and adapting curriculum to meet individualized goals

Key Duties:

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to address unique needs of students in special education programs
• Assess student progress and modify instruction based on data and observations
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience
• Create, update, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Provide direct instruction individually or in small groups, either in person or in a virtual setting
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and challenges
• Cultivate a positive, supportive, and structured classroom or virtual environment
