Job Description

Passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? This contract opportunity is available to both onsite and virtual special education teachers who hold a valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license. Work with a collaborative school environment near Heath, Ohio, where your expertise empowers learners and helps shape successful educational outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (required)
Proven experience in special education, with a comprehensive understanding of IEP development and implementation
Strong communication and collaboration skills for building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Flexibility to provide instruction either onsite or in a virtual setting, depending on your preference
Ability to adapt teaching methods and strategies to accommodate individual student needs
Proficiency with educational technology and relevant digital platforms for remote learning (for virtual candidates)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver individualized instruction to students with a wide range of abilities, following IEP goals and objectives
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
Develop and maintain organized documentation, progress monitoring, and data collection to track student growth
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of education plans
Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom culture that encourages student engagement
Remain current with best practices in special education and implement innovative teaching strategies
