About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer to join its senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in advancing the institution's mission. This executive will be responsible for providing vision and leadership in comprehensive advancement efforts, with a central focus on guiding the planning and execution of a multi-phase capital campaign. The successful candidate will work closely with the President, Board of Trustees, and senior leadership to align organizational priorities and resources, and will serve as a trusted advisor in all matters of institutional growth and philanthropic strategy. Key responsibilities include executive leadership, governance, and institutional growth, as well as the development and execution of long-range advancement and campaign strategies. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will also be involved in fundraising and external relations, financial management, and team leadership, and will be expected to personally cultivate and steward major and principal gift prospects. The ideal candidate for the Chief Philanthropy Officer position at the company will be a strategic, collaborative, and visionary leader with a deep appreciation for the transformative power of the performing arts. They should have significant senior-level advancement leadership experience, a proven track record in fundraising, and the ability to work effectively across departments to foster a strong culture of philanthropy. The role requires exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to inspire donors, trustees, and community stakeholders. The candidate should be an authentic and passionate advocate for the arts, with a strong sense of integrity, diplomacy, and the ability to lead in a highly visible environment. Experience in guiding major capital or comprehensive campaigns, and knowledge of the philanthropic community, particularly in the Coachella Valley, would be beneficial.
